1. Rockefeller State Park Preserve

The Rockefeller State Park is the former property of J. D. Rockefeller, and the trails of the Preserve are made from crushed carriage roads. You can find trail maps at the Preserve office to navigate the historical landscapes such as Swan Lake, the Pocantico River, and various streams.

Regular visitors make repeat visits for the accessible fishing, and the scenic views are sure to make your fishing trip one that you'll remember for years to come.

2. Mianus River State Park

The Mianus River State Park stretches from Cognewaugh Road in Greenwich, Connecticut Merriebrook Lane in Stamford, Connecticut. It is composed of a network of trails that travel past rock outcroppings, small knolls, and wooded ledges, as well as a 2.6-mile nature trail with twelve stations of educational guides.

Mianus River State Park has plenty of space to spread out, and you can spend your entire fishing outing in peaceful seclusion surrounded by nature.

3. Caumsett State Historic Park Preserve

The Caumsett State Historic Park Preserve is located on a peninsula that extends into Long Island Sound and begins at 25 Lloyd Harbor Road in Huntington, New York.

You can find various natural features such as acres of woodland, rock shorelines, meadows, gardens, and a salt marsh. Be sure to purchase a 2021 Caumsett Fishing Permit to guarantee that you receive a premier fishing experience all year long.

4. Rockland Lake State Park

You can find the Rockland Lake State Park at 299 Rockland Lake in Valley Cottage, New York. Rockland Lake itself is located above the west bank of the Hudson River at a ridge of Hook Mountain.

All visitors can enjoy the 3.2-mile paved trail around the lake or the 25,000 square foot swimming pool center, and if you have a valid New York State (NYS) fishing license, you can fish for bass, perch, and carp.

5. Hempstead Lake State Park

Hempstead Lake State Park, located off of Lakeside Drive in West Hempstead, NY, is a multi-use facility with twenty tennis courts, hiking trails, and a historic hand-carved carousel. The three bodies of water designated for fishing are Hempstead Lake, which is the largest lake in Nassau County, McDonald Pond, and South Pond.

All of the fishing areas are stocked with trout in the fall, and additional species include largemouth bass, tiger muskies, carp, and black crappie.

6. Croton Point Park

For a fishing location with a rich history to discover between catches, Croton Point Park on the east shore of the Hudson River is the place to go. Studies of oyster shells reveal that the area was inhabited by Native Americans over 7,000 years ago, and Croton Point Park is also home to the oldest wine cellars in New York.

Amenities include campgrounds, RV camping, swimming, beach access, and, of course, fishing.

It's Toyota City's Second Anniversary!

It seems like yesterday that we opened Toyota City for business, right in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. The timing was far from perfect. Covid-19 was all over the country and businesses were closed. And yet here we are, proudly celebrating our second successful year serving the local community and greater Metro NY area! Our team effort has paid off with a stellar reputation amongst our customers for exceptional service in all departments. In fact, we were the only Toyota dealership in Westchester to receive the prestigious Toyota President's Award for 2021! This award is a reflection of energy and tireless commitment by every one of our Toyota City Team members.
