1. Harbor Island Park

Families looking for a friendly and quiet place to relax are sure to find refuge in Columbus Park. Located right on Van Ranst Place, this public area features a large playground, benches, swings, and a fully-lit basketball court. Whether you want to work on your slam dunk or meditate on one of the benches while watching the ducks and the wildlife, you will find excellent ways to spend your time here.

3. Otter Creek Preserve

Otter Creek Preserve is home to 35 acres of salt marshes, wooded wetlands, and natural habitats for birds, marine life, amphibians, and many kinds of mammals. Located along a three-mile stretch of Long Island Sound coastline, this open space features a forested upland trail, a viewshed for birdwatchers, and plenty of native flora for those who are fascinated by nature.

This preserve is an excellent area for anyone interested in photography or wildlife watching, as hundreds of birds have been known to visit this area.

4. Larchmont Manor Park

Larchmont Manor Park is a playground and beach where locals can hang out, relax, and enjoy nice weather. This park has over 13 acres of land along Larchmont Harbor and the Long Island Sound and is famous for its walking paths, scenic views, and striated rocks. Anyone looking to take a peaceful walk along the beach when they need to clear their head is sure to find solitude here!

5. Florence Park

Those looking to walk, jog, or bike without going far can find everything they’re looking for at Florence Park, situated right on Florence Street. This area features a paved pathway for walkers, joggers, bikers, and even kids on scooters. There are tennis and basketball courts for anyone looking for a fun way to break a sweat in the summer sun. The giant trees also provide plenty of shade for times when you want to enjoy a picnic!
